Extension of the Visitor Service Centre of the State Museum at Majdanek

On 9 December, the competition for the development of an architectural concept for the extension of the Visitor Service Centre building of the State Museum at Majdanek was settled. The Competition Jury chose the project proposed by INTRO75 Artur Wiśniewski from Poznań.
 
In the opinion of the Competition Jury, the indicated work is characterized by “high aesthetics of architectural solutions with functional and functional values”. In addition, it was recognized that: “it is worth noting the adaptation of the scale of development to both the existing Visitor Service Centre building and the surroundings of the Monument-Gate. The composition of the building in the space of the State Museum at Majdanek corresponds to the rank and location of the object […]”.

The designed new part of Visitor Service Centre with a total expansion area of approx. 2200 m2 will include: two exhibition rooms with warehouses, educational workshops, a library with a media library, office, social and utility rooms.
